SX2 Media Labs Names Colleen Daly as Publisher of Computer Shopper Magazine and Announces Senior Management Team to Drive Company's Growth
NEW YORK, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- SX2 Media Labs, a major provider of content serving passionate technology enthusiasts in print and online, today announced several promotions to fuel the company's growth. These promotions are effective immediately and report to the company's President and CEO, David Sills.Colleen Daly, a 14-year ad sales veteran, has been promoted to Publisher of Computer Shopper magazine. As Publisher, she will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for the company's current publications and online initiatives and will continue to manage the nationwide sales force. In addition to selling marketing opportunities in Computer Shopper magazine, the team will sell advertising in CNET Digital Living magazine, College Buying Guide, and online. Daly is a knowledgeable technology media veteran with a strong reputation. She began her career at Ziff Davis Publishing and has held sales and sales management positions at ZDNet and CNET Networks.
Josh London has been named Vice President, Marketing and General Manager, Online Publishing. A seasoned executive with nearly 15 years of marketing experience, London oversees all of the company's marketing initiatives, including branding, communications efforts, custom publishing and research. He is also responsible for the company's online efforts including strategy and product development, content acquisition and monetization. London's extensive marketing and business development experience in the consumer and business-to-business markets includes marketing and product development positions at CNET Networks, Ziff Davis, Thomas Publishing Company, and PSINET.
Liz Roberts has been named as the company's Chief Strategy Officer. In this position, she is responsible for assisting in company operating projects and growth initiatives. Roberts will be concentrating on special projects, integrating acquisitions and assisting in overall Web strategies. Roberts has a broad 10 year background in newspaper and magazine publishing and brings creative online marketing strategy, Web campaign and viral marketing experience.
Martha Sybert is the company's new Vice President of Business Operations. She will oversee all areas of finance including accounting & analysis, budgeting and strategic planning. Sybert has over 15 years of progressively challenging accounting and finance experience and five years at a Fortune 500 communications company working on capital and operational planning and financial analysis. She began her career in Public Accounting. She has held finance positions for the Chicago Tribune Company and WGNX-TV, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta, GA. Sybert will also manage the production and circulation departments.
Janice Chen, Editor in Chief will continue to set the editorial direction for Computer Shopper magazine, CNET Digital Living magazine and the College Buying Guide in print and online. Recognized as one of the 10 most influential technology editors by Technology Marketing Magazine, Chen has been a tech journalist for more than 14 years. She is a regular guest on CNN Headline News and has appeared on the BBC, American Morning with Paula Zahn, the Today Show, and numerous other broadcast outlets. Chen began her computer journalism career at Computer Shopper in 1990 and rejoined the staff in 1996 after a hiatus as Technical Editor and Senior Editor at WindowsUser magazine and Windows.
